So, with our cold winter weather that had temps approaching 75 degrees on Sunday ( ) I scheduled a ride with my new student, Tom, who got his M1 a month ago. Helped him find a super deal on a really clean, low mileage Ninja 250. He's been progressing really fast so we set out for his 2nd set of twisty roads. One of my local favorites, Polomares Rd, was closed, but, guess what? Our bikes just fit around the barrier, how about that?
Road had a lot of dirt and some gravel from cleaned up mudslides but nothing unrideable. Tom did great, relaxed, rarely hit the brakes. No blown corners, all in all he is doing super good. Had lunch in an old historic bar in Sunol, then back the same route home. I think he's going to be a lifer. He's really enjoying the riding on roads he never knew existed before. I think he'll be looking at a bigger bike sooner rather than later. Weather was spectacular, ( sorry you east coast guys...)
Even got to let KngKawi romp a bit on one of my favorite sections of Redwood Rd.
Sorry no pics. My phone camera refuses to focus anymore.
